I lost my husband, Dick, on May 22, 2000 to a sudden, unexpected heart attack. He just had a physical and passed with flying colors! So much for the medical profession. I was devestated. We had just returned from our first Caribbean cruise after 31 years of marriage and raising three kids. Finally, time for US! The morning of the wake, I sat on my couch and asked God through my tears to give me a sign that Dick was all right with Him in heaven and we would someday be together again. I asked for a very specific sign because, though my faith is strong, I just had to know that Dick was OK and I was not alone. I asked God to send me a deer, that morning, in my yard. I knew God could be offened by this specific request, but I also knew I could not get through the next few days, let alone years, without that sign. Well, God came through with not one, but three deer, in the rain, much later after dawn than deer usually step out of the trees. God told me in no uncertain terms that, yes, Dick is OK, he is in Heaven with Him, and we will be together again. He and Dick are with me now and always. This blessing held me up through the wake and funeral and all those moments since when I begin to feel so lost and alone. Love lasts forever! God bless you all and may you find peace and love.
