Hi John,,, don't know if you'll come back to check this message board, but I wanted to say I'm so sorry for your loss, and what a brave and loving thing your wife did to save your baby, and how heartbreaking it is for you, the loss of your beloved one.

I can understand to a degree, having lost my husband in 1997,,, in a small plane crash. He died within minutes of the inpact.

I remember being so annoyed by the cliche's people would toss out,, about "God's will",, about "time healing all wounds" etc.

The last thing I want to do is toss out a cliche to you,, all I can say is even though it feels as if you will never recover,, try to trust that that feeling cannot understand what healing is,, healing is a long and painful journey that will be less weighty someday.

For me it isn't that it gets "better".. it gets different. But really.. I am less crushed than I use to be and I trust you will be less crushed too,,, eventually.

That really can't comfort you much just now.. I am so glad you have your child.. I am so glad for that.

Hold on.. hold on to anything that gives you any hope. Sending caring thoughts and prayers your way.

marva
