Hi, It's very kind of you to ask how you can better support your friend. At the beginning, there will be many people to lend support. As time goes on to one month, six months and so on, your friend will need to know you're there. I suggest keeping in touch with a phone call or e-mail and being prepared to "listen". Just by checking in once and a while to say "I just called to see how your doing" is hugh support. Take Care. Janice
