Grisel, I am so sorry about the loss of your sister. While growing up I never thought I would experience losing one my brothers or sisters.
On October 1st, 2001 my 17 year old sister was killed by a drunk driver. I found out while in the hospital giving birth to my daughter. What should have be the happiest day of my life turned out to be the most devistating. I was in shock and could not believe it. The pain of losing her was unbearable. It is 6 years later and I still miss her and cry for her, but now I can also smile when I think of her. She will never get married or have children, another holiday season will pass without her, but I am so grateful for the years I had with her and there is not a day that passes I do not think of her and how beautiful she was. Only time can ease the pain, but nothing can make it fair or make us forget. They are in our hearts always. I will always have to celebrate the day of her death for it was also the birth of my beautiful little girl. I choose not to mourn this day, only celebrate my child and the memories of my beautiful litter sister.
