I also am a widow. I also agree on all your points. I have been a widow now for a little over a year and have found very little help or compassion with family members and my local church. I have always tried to help others when ever they have asked me for help or Ive saught them out thinking they might need it. I was really hoping in my need some of that would have come back to me but it hasnt. Im trying not to become bitter, its very hard. Ive gotten very turned off to my church or others that proclaim the word of Christ but dont have time for me. I still love the lord and know he hasnt failed me but so far I cant say much for many of his well taught, well preached followers. Seems like weve become a society of intetectual Christians, well versed vs responding in love with their feet, hands and work.
