When my grandfater passed away in July of 2001, i remembered this poem and how it helped me get through my best friend's death the previous year. I read it aloud at my grandfather's funeral and everyone was comforted by the words as was I. This poem is a reminder that even though a loved one has passed, they are in heaven watching over us with GOD and they are no longer in pain and everything is beautiful and they are happy, and that one day you will be in this beautiful place with them and you will be there together to love one another for eternity.
