Hi Deb.
It would be hypocritical to call myself a Christian, when I have been following the old Irish Pagan beliefs for a few years now. THOUGH, Father Andrew at the church my mom goes to (Catholic) has told me that I should consider myself to be Catholic/Christian because those beliefs were based on mine.
I don't know if you've read any of my posts, but I'll try to keep this brief.
I have Faith in myself and in my beliefs. I believe that God is the Father, and when things happen, they happen for a reason. People serve their purpose - in God's eyes.
My husband shot himself on July 3rd. We'd been separated for over a year and had gotten past the hostility and became friends again. He last called me to wish me Happy Birthday two days early - in June.
He was not the love of my life, but it still hurts to lose someone that I've spent 7 years of my life with - I'm only 25.
It is important that you find someone to talk to - pastor, friends, support group - even a grief counselor. Talking about the hurt is the biggest way to release some of the pain. Why? Because until you do release it, it feels like you're the only one bearing the burden - even if you're not.
